The students of Aditya College of Pharmacy are guaranteed a safe and enjoyable study environment. The institution safeguards newly admitted students from the risk of ragging.

Ragging is totally prohibited in the college; as a result, any student detected engaging in ragging will face serious disciplinary action, which may include instant rustication from the college in addition to criminal repercussions. In this aim, our Institute has established an Anti-Ragging Cell. The cell is led by the institution's head, which is joined on the committee by a number of distinguished professors. All departments have been assigned anti-ragging personnel and bus in charge positions to continuously monitor students' behaviour both on and off campus

Ragging is any disorderly behaviour, whether expressed verbally, in writing, or by an act that has the effect of taunting, treating, or handling with rudeness by any other student, or engaging in indiscipline activities that cause or are likely to cause annoyance, hardship, or psychological harm, or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or any other student, or asking the student to do any act or perform something that such student would otherwise consider inappropriate.

Functions

• The anti-ragging squad will work as stipulated in the mentioned “ the UGC regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions, 2009” and would be responsible for maintaining vigil or watch, oversight and patrolling function and shall remain mobile, alert and active at all times.
• The members of the committee move around the college and hostels to check if there is any incident of ragging. Anti-ragging posters have been displayed in the academic blocks. The anti-ragging squad committee interacts with the students and periodically monitors to check if they are facing any problems related to ragging.
• The squads are authorized to make surprise raids near the places vulnerable to ragging and counsel the students regarding discipline and cohesiveness in the hostel so that no untoward incidence occurs inside and outside the campus premises.
• At start of academic session, the faculty members are also informed to stay in the hostels at night time for a period of 15-20 days to curb any possibilities of ragging.
• The anti-ragging squad takes rounds at canteens, rest cum recreational room, toilets and bus points which would help in preventing ragging incidence.
• The phone numbers of the in charges are displayed in the college campus as well as in buses.
• The students and the parents or guardian are also made aware of the anti-ragging helpline. The students are informed about the legal procedures they might face if they are involved directly or indirectly in the ragging issues.

The All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, has taken a serious view of ragging incidents in educational institutions and has issued Notification No. 37-3/Legal/AICTE/2009 dated 25-03-2009 in response to the Honorable Supreme Court of India's Order dated 16.5.2007, which has ordered strict implementation of the following rules and regulations for the prevention and prohibition of ragging in technical institutions.
