About
The main objective of the committee is to resolve issues related to women and to make the college campus a safe place for women students. It also provides a platform for women to share their experiences and views regarding their status in the society and empowering themselves. The main aim is to upliftment of the female students and facilitating women through seminars, games, awareness programmes and other welfare activities
Objectives:
- Helping female students realise their full potential in both their academic and professional lives
- To actively pursue altering cultural perceptions and local customs through both men and women participating and becoming involved.
- To encourage female students to pursue further education and find work, as well as to advance a society that values gender equality.
- To plan programmes for raising gender awareness.
- To promote a culture of respect and equality for female gender.
- To educate women about opportunities and resources and to provide training, seminars and workshops will be held.
- Setting up seminars to raise knowledge of the economic, social, political and legal rights of women.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Educate people about gender discrimination in general and women's issues in particular.
- Promote involvement in the Cell's operations from those engaged in the field of women's development.
- Organize seminars and workshops to help students, teachers, and non-teaching staff become more aware of the Cell's activities and to get them oriented for continuous participation.
- To periodically organize guest lecturers in the concerned areas such as health, legal, career and social aspects, and to monitor and counsel girl students.
- To promote all round development of women faculty, staff and students of the college
